Happy New Year! The MLS season is *almost* here, so we're taking the opportunity now to explore the beautiful game outside the US. Luke and Melissa co-host this special episode with two awesome guests. At 11' our Day in Gay covers Tony Dungy's recent public comments attacking trans youth, a homophobic dust-up in British boxing, the anti-LGBTQ laws popping up across the country, and then some exciting news out of Scotland involving out men's player Zander Murray.
At 22' we welcome our first guest, Keph Senett, who is organizing the Americas with Football v Homophobia. And then at 38' we are joined by Anton Hysen, who came out in 2011 while playing in Sweden, making him the first active men's professional footballer to come out since Justin Fashanu, and who went on to win Sweden's version of "Dancing with the Stars." We are absolutely delighted to share our conversations with Keph and Anton with you.
