Advent: Malachi 3:13-4:3 | Week 6 - Alex Wood
Manage episode 458281963 series 3030156
We will spend this Advent season studying the book of Malachi. Through Malachi, the Lord reproves and pursues his people - calling them to remember his covenant, seek him genuinely, and prepare for his coming. This week we look to Malachi 3:13-4:3.
ACT 1
“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” (2 Cor. 10:5)
ACT 2
“Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;” (Exodus 19:5)
ACT 3
“But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’” (Luke 16:29-31)
"There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, “Thy will be done”, and those to whom God says, in the end, “Thy will be done.” All that are in hell choose it." - C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce
