On this episode of the LivXplore Podcast, Isaiah Chass is joined by Matt Passanisi of Santa Rosa’s Lago Fresca Apartments Project. As currently proposed, Lago Fresca Apartments is a 50-unit apartment complex at 4744 Hoen Avenue and 2445 Summerfield Drive, of which six units would be deed restricted as affordable housing. The units will be made up of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom apartments, and amenities including a lounge with fireplace, community room with kitchenette, garden area with play structure for children, in addition to 65 parking spaces. Tune in to learn more about the struggles that the team behind this project has faced, as well as the importance for community members and city councils to work with local developers and be receptive to the incredible need for housing. Without doing so, the housing need will only worsen and many projects will look a lot different when local builders and developers are pushed out by national companies that have more firepower to push a project through.
