The Miami Hurricanes have landed a verbal commitment from Class of 2025 cornerback Timothy Merritt. The Paker HS (Birmingham, AL) standout chose Miami over Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama and Auburn. He committed right after his weekend official visit at The U. Merritt is long at 6-2, 180 lbs. He will begin his career at corner but has the versatility to play nickel or safety if needed. Miami cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson was his primary recruiter.
