The Pittsburgh Steelers made two trades at the NFL deadline for New York Jets receiver Mike Williams and Green Bay Packers edge rusher Preston Smith. The two moves aren't blockbusters by any means, but Christopher Carter sees them as useful chess pieces for Omar Khan, Mike Tomlin, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin to use to improve their 6-2 team after the bye week.

Christopher breaks downs those moves, as well as the coming reinforcements off injury, like Cory Trice, Nick Herbig, Zach Frazier, among others.
