Roberto's music career started at a young age when he started training in classical piano and learning to play the guitar. He discovered electronic music in his teenage years and eventually focused on techno. Capuano is considered one of the most exciting techno artists in the scene today. Here we discuss the pioneers that were influential in shaping EDM to what it is today. In this latest segment we are featuring Chicago Group, Phuture. Formed in 1985, Phuture’s members were - Earl "Spanky" Smith Jr, Nathaniel Pierre Jones aka DJ Pierre and Herbert "Herb J" Jackson. Together they crafted a unique style of music which would later be known as acid house. The groups defining release was "Acid Tracks". Phuture was instrumental in launching acid house music and transforming it from an underground sound to a mainstream movement during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
