Joanne Rowling better known by her pen name J. K. Rowling, is 56 year old British author, philanthropist, film producer, television producer, and screenwriter. J. K . Rowling went through many traumas but the major was when she lost her mother. This was 6 months when she started ' Harry Potter' .Her married life ended within 13 months, she was penniless, jobless, single parent,was depressed and even considered suicide. After so many rejections, from book publishers when she first sent out the manuscript, Bloomsbury, a publishing house in London, gave " Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone' the green light in 1997. Later Forbes estimated Rowling to be worth about $1 billion, but she has fallen from list as she reportedly gave some of her wealth to the charity. She believes, if you are passionate about something and believe in your work, you must never give up even in your hardest time!
