Perhaps you remember singing with confidence, and at the top of your voice, the old Sunday School song about the "joy of Jesus!" WHERE? "Down in my heart!" A simple song to learn and sing, but what about after we've moved from childhood into the complicated, painful seasons of adult life? Does that joy remain such that we could sing it out loud with all the hand motions and everything? This week we will consider JOY, a facet of the Fruit of God, the Spirit. We will seek together to discover a path towards our God given identity as a Rejoicing People. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. --Galatians 5:22-23
