He was born with Cartlidge Hair Hypoplasia, started seeing a dwarfism specialist at age 2, and had 2 reconstructive leg surgeries, once at age 6 and again at 16, then a spinal fusion the next year. Chrisophe was a TV producer for local community stations, was a drummer in a rock band with which he toured the US and Europe for 6 years. After that, he moved to Hollywood to pursue music and ended up working in the acting/film industry.
