Wynne also talks about the need for all governments to pursue a workable national guaranteed income program. The former premier offered testimony before a Senate committee in Ottawa this week in support of the idea.
But, when pressed, Wynne admits her government should have done more to provide adequate financial benefits to Ontarians relying on the Ontario Disability Support Program. ODSP monthly payment is up to $1308, effectively trapping those living with disabilities in a state of legislated poverty.
