She narrates her experience after she was forced to leave her city of Damascus following several human rights violations and arrests. She left Syria in 2013 and moved from London to Beirut, where she currently lives. She reported on the beginning of the Syrian revolution in 2011. In 2019, she captured the Syrian tragedy in her documentary film "Madness in Aleppo" , which tells the story of the last underground Syrian civilian hospital during the siege of Aleppo in 2016.
