Have you ever been tempted to fake it ‘til you make it?
If you're faced with an opportunity that requires you to stretch your current capabilities or current levels of confidence, can it really do any harm to 'fake it' for a while until you've figured everything out?
Quick results can feel satisfying so a short cut like this is alluring.
But 'faking it' if fraught with problems, not least that you know the truth and it's hard to enjoy an opportunity when you're worried about being found out.
