The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: President Biden woke up long enough to do an “exclusive” interview with the leftwing Houston Chronicle in which he claimed he had tried hard but could not reach Governor Abbott or Lieutenant Governor Patrick about FEMA relief for Hurricane Beryl. It is a lie and also, we haven’t needed the FEMA supplies yet.
Also, a review of the media shows that CenterPoint is being branded, rightly or wrongly, the scapegoat for problems with the hurricane. There is much more than the story I provided but I have to laugh at the idea that their online outage map is such a big deal. Yes, it is nice to have but it has nothing to do with how quickly the firm works to get power back on. We didn’t even have such things a few years back and yet today, you’d think an outage map was the central issue to saving lives and property – it’s preposterous.
