UGA Mentor Program Ambassador, Mahi Patel (AB '23), and UGA alum, Will Ngo (BBA '07 & MBA '10), discuss life at UGA as a first-generation college student, expectations of immigrant parents, asking for help, and tips for first-generation students as they navigate through their collegiate or job search journey.
Will studied marketing while an undergraduate student at UGA. He returned to UGA shortly after to earn his Master of Business Administration. Will started his career in various sales and marketing roles spanning from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He later transitioned into human resources, and now serves as a Talent Acquisition & Engagement Leader for YKK AP America Inc.
As a UGA mentor, Will is open to discussing building a personal brand, career/industry trends, job or internship search process, personal experiences and lessons learned, pursuit of an advanced degree, and transitioning to life after college with his mentee.
