Monday—Is it overwhelming at all to you how much 1 and 2 Thessalonians talk about adversity that should expect to face? Why? How are you tempted to respond to hard times?

Tuesday—What do you think it means to pray for protection from those who mistreat you? Does it mean that you will never be mistreated? If not, what does it mean?

Wednesday—What is prayer? What is it not? When is prayer hard? When is it comforting?

Thursday—What does it mean to “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”? (Mat 5:44) Why is this hard? Is it optional in the Christian life? Who are some people who have mistreated you that God is calling on you to pray for?
