Now I want to point out that, in the saving of a remnant, God fulfills the promise that all the nations of the earth will be blessed.1 The Jews were initially invited and given the first benefit of Christ. That happened on the day of Pentecost, even after they had crucified Christ some fifty days earlier. But He had been raised from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God. The first message on the day of Pentecost was Peter establishing the truth from the prophetic Scriptures,2 citing David as prophet declaring that "The Lord said (prophetically) to my Lord"�-that the Almighty God said to the Lord Jesus Christ: "Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet"�' (Acts 2:34b-35 NASB).
