True strength is so much much more than the ability to lift something heavy. It requires perseverance, overcoming failure and the belief that you are capable of the goal you have yet to realize.
This week, I sat down with Alyssa Ages, journalist, public speaker and the author of SECRETS OF GIANTS: A Journey to Uncover the True Meaning of Strength
Alyssa shared her story from being a self-proclaimed “non-athlete” to becoming a strongman competitor who pulled a truck with nothing more than a harness and her physical strength. According to Alyssa and the multiple athletes and experts she interviewed for her book, true strength is not just built by harnessing your physical strength, but your mental grit and a willingness to question and test the beliefs you hold about your personal limits. Strength is built through being patient and resilient and a willingness to celebrate each success along the way.
