062 Call To Forgive
Manage episode 312951251 series 3253618
Will you allow forgiveness to build, or bitterness to destroy your relationships and life?
FORGIVE: to grant pardon for or remission of (an offense, debt, etc.); ABSOLVE: to give up all claims on account of; remit (a debt, obligation, etc.).to grant pardon to (a person) to cease to feel resentment against: to cancel an indebtedness or liability of: verb to pardon an offense or an offender. The word “FOR” means: intended to belong to, or be used in connection with: in order to obtain, gain, or acquire: THE WORD GIVE MEANS: to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation; as that young woman did, consider this reason to forgive. We forgive because God has forgiven us. If we do not, the resentment will build and build-like battery acid that slowly eats away a car-until, unless we fix it, it will destroy us. Even secular psychologists tell us that resentment is the most powerful, self-destructive emotion in our arsenal. Will you allow forgiveness to build, or bitterness to destroy your relationships and life?
