Welcome, Dr. Kayla C. Thomas to the I.T. Factor Podcast!
At the time of the shoot, Dr. Thomas was attending medical school at Howard University. She was selected for the NFL Diversity in Sports Medicine pipeline initiative. This is Where she got a chance to work with the New York Giants!🏈🔴🔵
We spoke about how she enjoyed working for the Giants and loves to work with athletes stemming from her athletic background in undergrad! Her abilities to relate with athletes as a former track athlete were present because of her past injuries. First hand, she knows what recovery looks like.
I am proud to see that she has matched with the University of Virginia to finish her residency. She plans to pursue a Sports Medicine Fellowship that will help propel her to becoming a Primary Care Sports Medicine Team Physician.
I know that the future is so bright for Dr. Kayla C. Thomas and I look forward to continuing to document all of her great accomplishments.
