After ordination in 1969 Father Robert worked in the Congo for three years and has continued to support communities in Africa through Saint Joseph’s African Aid (SJAA) which he established in 2001. The charity was formed to support small and manageable projects aimed at the relief of poverty, sickness and distress as well as the advancement of education principally in those countries where Josephites have a presence: DR Congo, Cameroon and Gabon. Father Robert shares his experiences of travelling to Africa and seeing first-hand how SJAA has made a difference to the communities there.
