Stay Risky with Astraea Rose
Manage episode 433989670 series 3550084
I believe there’s a lot of power in appearance. When you go to a hair stylist to get a trim or a new look, on the outside a lot of people will notice the difference. They might say something like “Who did your hair? It looks amazing!”. Of course those compliments do feel good, but what’s more important than physical appearance is how your new look makes you feel on the inside. Most people think about how others perceive them, but we need to spend more time loving ourselves so we can better express love for our friends, colleagues and family.
In this podcast, we talk a lot about overcoming obstacles. Some people start their business and struggle with aspects of life like paying bills, taking care of their kids, or handling family situations that are out of our control. What is in our control though, is how we decide to take care of ourselves. Self love is something that has become more commonly talked about in the past few years, but for a long time in the business world, the mindset was to work yourself to the bone everyday, no excuses, and work will make you happy. We know that’s not the case.
People in the workforce today are spending more time with family, taking care of themselves, and living their lives on their own terms.
Our guest today believed in themselves and found their passion in the hair industry to help others feel more confident in themselves.
