With so many changes happening in the housing market, how can you educate your clients effectively to ensure they make the right choices?

  • Most sellers have unrealistic expectations when it comes to selling homes. They want sales and multiple offers to happen fast. However, this isn’t always the case.
  • Educating your clients on the current market data and trends allows you to be clear on realistic expectations. This helps you build trust with your clients and allow them to make more informed decisions.
  • Additionally, informed clients are better prepared for negotiations and can make more strategic offers or pricing decisions.
  • Keep in mind that not every client wants to go over data information. We share other strategies to help you educate your clients when they prefer not to discuss this.

Where Can Agents Find Market Data?

  • One of the easiest ways to find market data for your clients is by using your Multiple Listing Service (MLS). This is where you can find detailed property information such as average list and sale prices, time on the market, and current inventory levels.
  • Another good resource agents can use is NARPR to generate a market trend report. If you’re a part of the National Realtors Association, you can create this report for free.

Delivering Market Data

  • You want to provide market data to your clients as simply as possible, so they can easily understand what they’re looking at.
  • Creating a monthly newsletter can provide valuable data to your clients and keep them engaged with your business.
  • You can also use your CRM to set up market alerts and updates for your clients.
