Loneliness: An Overlooked Risk Factor for Physical and Mental Illness | Ep 17
Manage episode 446573077 series 3563395
As a society, we’re currently living through one of the worst epidemics we don’t talk about enough - loneliness. Loneliness impacts more than your social life.
Being isolated harms your physical and mental health as smoking, being obese and having a lot of stress. In nature and in God’s Word, we are constantly reminded that we’re not meant to move through life alone.
Being part of a community makes us feel like we belong, that we matter and that others care about us.
All of this leads to healthier, longer lives.
How do we combat the loneliness crisis? In this episode, I share why loneliness should be treated like another risk factor in health and wellness.
