My Big WHY
Manage episode 432993333 series 3591235
📍 Welcome back to the Boundary Breakers Collective Talk Show. In our first episode, I shared my origin story. But for any venture to be truly impactful and sustain challenges, you need more than an idea - you need a compelling why. So for our second episode, I'm diving into my purpose and what drives me each day.
As Maya Angelou said, people will forget what you said and did but never how you made them feel. I want our discussions to inspire feelings of positivity, motivation, and possibility. My why stems from a belief that we all have untapped potential, just waiting to be uncovered.
So often we impose our own limitations without realizing it, telling ourselves we aren't capable before even trying. Meanwhile, the world constantly bombards us with narrow messages about acceptable roles, careers, behaviors, and more. Women especially are faced with restriction after restriction about what we're supposed to do or what's deemed possible.
But I reject this type of restricted, risk-averse thinking. In my experience, true progress happens when we let go of artificially constructed boundaries. When we ignore narrow expectations and instead dare to fully be ourselves without apologies. That's when we blow previous structures wide open and create new opportunities.
I believe the boldest achievements arise from those unafraid to color outside prescribed lines. Those willing to take chances and follow their joy, intuition, and visions regardless of convention or safety. My drive comes from empowering others to access untapped gifts, see past perceived limitations, and have the courage to design boundaryless lives on their own terms.
I want to spread the belief that when we embrace roles as disruptors and mavericks, there are no limits. I recall naysayers who doubted my early entrepreneurial journey but their lack of faith only strengthened my resolve. I was determined to prove disruption could lead to boundless rewards.
While early days were challenging, pushing through adversity has given me so much - it taught me grit, resilience, and what we're capable of when we refuse to take no for an answer. Now I love coaching boundary breakers and playing a role in their growth, knowing I can light that same fire of reinvention in women worldwide. It's what keeps me energized each day to cultivate more disruption.
I hope these discussions ignite inspiration in all of you to keep challenging conventions. Get involved in our growing community by introducing potential guests - if you know anyone making waves through disruption, please email me their details at helena@helenademuynck.com. You can also apply to share your own boundary-pushing story as a future podcast guest by emailing me. This is only the beginning of our journey together to spark positive change through barrier-breaking conversations. Thank you for listening and I can't wait to bring more empowering discussions your way.
