Nehemiah 12:1-47: The Dedication of Jerusalem’s Wall

Another list of people who had returned Jerusalem includes information about the roles they fulfilled, especially within the worship life of God’s people. Because the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem was more than a secular construction project, the people of God dedicate the completed work with singing and great joy. Multiple choirs lead the people in worshipping God, and their joyful singing was heard far away.

Rev. Dr. Brian Kachelmeier, pastor at Crown of Life Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX, joins host Rev. Timothy Appel to study Nehemiah 12:1-47.
