On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G kick things off with a deep dive into the Los Angeles Lakers blockbuster trade for Russell Westbrook. The Lakers traded away most of their depth (Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope & Montrezl Harrell) for a one-man wrecking ball who may or may not be a fit next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. For all the stat padding that Westbrook does during the regular season, his numbers fall off pretty consistently in the postseason. Maybe that's why guys like Kevin Durant, Paul George and James Harden decided they'd rather play somewhere else than alongside Brodie. Westbrook will absolutely help the Lakers win regular season games but his inability to shoot could doom them in the playoffs. Later, the guys share a quick thought on the rather underwhelming NBA Draft. Outside of Jalen Suggs slipping to the Orlando Magic at #5, everything pretty much went according to plan. Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green and Evan Mobley went 1-2-3, and a bunch of guys you probably never heard of got picked (and traded) as the night wore on. Finally, Jason and Rob G closed the show with a few notes on Damian Lillard's social media beef with True Hoop founder Henry Abbott. Lillard continues to deny that he's planning on a requesting a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers this summer... while simultaneously reminding us why he would request a trade if he decided to do so. This whole thing is bizarre and it just might be the most passive aggressive trade demand in NBA history.
