CED’s Shareholder Versus Stakeholder Capitalism podcast series consists of compelling conversation with CEOs about whether there is a shift towards stakeholder capitalism underway and the implications of the debate on the CEOs’ leadership roles within their companies and in society. The podcast series continues the roundtable discussions launched by The Conference Board for sitting C-suite executives to discuss the practical significance of the shift from a shareholder to stakeholder focus.

In this discussion, CED President Dr. Lori Esposito Murray sits down with Reece Kurtenbach, CEO of Daktronics, Inc., and a CED Trustee.

“I think it’s a debate of how we manage conflict when one of the stakeholders might want something that pulls against what the others have at the top of their lists. I think in the recent past, there is a more vocal contention out there describing the priorities and the rights and trying to raise the visibility of some of the other stakeholders who haven’t been as visible or vocal in the past.” – Reece Kurtenbach, CEO of Daktronics, Inc.
