The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 11/09/24. The 2024 US Presidential Election is done. Trump triumphed again. Regardless of the outcome, the code remains: No Politics on the job - especially during election week. We hear how non-white people navigated this week - including minimizing conflict and verbal squabbles with other non-white coworkers. In fact, Gus added that he would not be interested in commiserating and weeping about the pending Trump sequel at the White House. Stick to your paid job description - which invariably does not include weekly political commentary. Sadly, we heard from non-white listeners that Victims of Racism used the election as justification for sending crass, Racist gifs to other non-white people. Some went further and shared unprofessional content with colleagues even though they've never exchanged views about politics. Lots of non-white people detailed a variety of anti-black conduct and abuse from other black co-workers. Discourtesy from other non-white employees should never be a surprise in the workplace.
