Episode 397: Bowness and beyond
Manage episode 439204892 series 82224
This is the 397th edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the playlist to accompany it. You can CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD but note the shows are large files. The show is also available to stream via Mixcloud and the Progzilla Radio Network (the show appears on Progzilla in alternate weeks). After a one-show break from shows built around interviews, we now return to me having a chat with someone about music. And this time, I’m very excited to say that I’ve been speaking to no less than the brilliant British singer-songwriter Tim Bowness, who will be talking to me about his recent performance at EppyFest 11 and, more importantly, about his brand new solo album, ‘Powder Dry’, which is this show’s feature album and is released on the 13th September. In addition, you can expect a typically excellent and eclectic range of music, covering all the usual styles and genres, including congratulating the winner of this year’s Mercury Prize ‘Album of the Year’, announcing the first two acts for next year’s EppyFest 12, and reflecting on the sad passing of Richard Macphail & Herbie Flowers. Below you’ll find the track list, plus weblinks from where you can find more information about each artist.
