Her experience spans across various industry verticals such as Telecom, IT, Healthcare, Pharma and Entertainment. Prema is an experienced and passionate advocate who understands the unique needs of companies that have a global workforce and footprint. Prema is the President for the South-Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, an association of South-Asian attorneys dedicated to the needs, concerns and interests of the South Asian Legal Community (https://www.sabanj.org/).Prema is dedicated to advocating for women's rights and serves as the Vice-President, Board of Directors for Manavi Inc., whose mission is to end all forms of gender-based violence in the South Asian Community (https://www.manavi.org/). She serves as the co-chair for the TiE-NJ Women with a vision to embrace, engage and empower women entrepreneurs across the globe (https://nj.tie.org/). She also serves on the Board of Akshaya Patra Foundation USA Tri-State Chapter (https://www.apusa.org/). As the world’s largest NGO, Akshaya Patra’s mid-day meal program serves wholesome school lunches to over 2 million children in 22,000 schools in India every day.
Prema lives in NJ and has a son who is an engineer.
Prema’s is a story of dedication to the service of others. She identifies her four pillars of strength as the four organizations she devotes her time and effort to in addition to being a full-time attorney, a career she took on much later in life as she reinvented herself to start afresh.
It’s a moving conversation with yet another outstanding and inspiring member of the Indian American community of the Gen-X generation as we get close to winding up Season 1.
