The short answer is systems! Instead of always manning and running our machine (business), we build a mechanism or process that physically replaces us or the need for our input, because of the rules we have set forth, now we have freed the time needed to do that task. Systems are the great multiplier. With a system you can have 2 people yield that same output as 10 if done correctly.
