Whether delivered in bars or in ballads there was always a Message (broken glass everywhere) in the music. But today, when you hear Brownstone telling you to "say it" it in the background of a heart breaking song from an album called Trap Soul. Rappers are no longer the news anchors for the hood but instead are the sole manufactures and distributors of the products that destroy it (trap). Now black music is black music and its all good. We are not salty that she's with the Boys in the Hood but the music no longer seems to carry the soul or the message it once did.
