Crazy In Love
Manage episode 447471034 series 3266947
We're glad to see you again for episode 9 of the Record Report!
For this episode, we have our two-time guest Nicki Mayo along for the ride to review Beyonce's debut album Dangerously In Love.
Dropping in the early official days of Summer 2003, Dangerously In Love was Beyonce's introduction to the world as a solo artist. With the help of superstars like Jay Z, Sean Paul, Luther Vandross, and Sleepy Brown, the project blends different forms of contemporary R&B while even taking deeper elements of Reggae and Soul to show her range as an artist.
As always, Ahmad, Vance, and Nicki choose their Top 3 tracks, reminisce on memories that the three had when the project dropped, and how Dangerously In Love became a precursor to Queen Bey's legendary run in modern music.
We also talk about improper sampling, improper relationships, and Beyonce's sketchy acting history.
Some of us have improper rankings as well...
