The sale comes just days after the Riata Buckle announced its proxy horse program, allowing ropers to compete in the 2023 $2.5-million November event if they can prove they've bred to a Riata stallion in 2023 or own a weanling, yearling, 2- or 3-year-old colt by a Riata stallion. Offering some of the premier weanlings in the industry, Easter's weekend's Select Online Sale might just be the least expensive way for anyone to get a shot at roping at the Riata.
