As a third-year undergraduate student at Columbia University, Chinmayi Balusu is not only actively contributing to neuroscientific research, but continually outreaches to younger students and peers alike through the global non-profit Simply Neuroscience. Since founding the organization in 2019, it has grown into a worldwide endeavor led by over 350 student volunteers. Chinmayi's passion for community education is furthering the field for all.

Listen in as Chinmayi and Lisa Mae Brunson - Host of the Podcast and Founder of Wonder Women Tech - discuss the passion behind her global efforts, the importance of diverse representation in academia, and why an interdisciplinary approach must be taken in neurological research.

Today's pioneering woman is Betsy Ancker-Johnson. Betsy was an American plasma physicist known for her invention of the gigacycle range signal generator, which allowed her to further plasma research to new heights in the 1960s. Thank you for your pioneering contributions, Betsy Ancker-Johnson.
