Vicente, Juan Gabriel, Los Bukis - anything perceived as too Mexican was outdated or corny. This was the era of Death Row and 90s Hip-Hop. Grunge, MTV. REAL TALK Banda Machos was unapologetic and kept the torch burning for Mexican music during the 1990s. Today, musica regional is massive and only growing in popularity.
