Two double murders within a five year timeframe – the first in 2008, and the second in 2013 – would have police in Omaha NE wondering if they had a serial killer on their hands.

The only really link was each victim’s affiliation with Creighton University in Omaha… and a former medical resident there named Anthony Garcia.

Years later – and hours away, in Chicago IL - criminal defense attorney Bob Motta would receive a message in the middle of the night from Garcia’s family, requesting legal representation.

And the years that followed would be a series of bizarre rabbit holes, and one of the most exhausting – and interesting - trials in Nebraska history.
