Jillian Henson Gilliam, Certified Enneagram Professional and Reiki Master is more than just a fellow Enneagram enthusiast. She’s my friend. I mean that but the truth is, if you ever meet Jillian then you too will immediately feel like you’re her friend. This is one of the most beautiful aspects of an Ennneagram Type 2…the gift of opening their heart and welcoming people right in.

Many times Type 2s are referred to as “The Giver” and that was so evident when we share the story of Jillian giving me a bracelet that says "Chose Joy".

From her story of adoption to starting a business in the middle of a pandemic to revealing to me in the middle of our conversation that she was diagnosed with Covid19, this conversation was 100% from the heart which isn’t surprising since Type 2s sit right in the middle of the Heart Triad. Type 2s are so ‘other focused’ that they can posses, as Jillian calls it, “overactive relational thinking.’ “Covid forced me to pay attention to myself”, she said.

Even though she was in total quarantine for 3 weeks she found a way to connect with and give encouragement to her neighborhood through window art that she created with her son. As neighbors walked past her house they could see signs they made that said things like… ”We can do hard things” and “Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all.” ~Emily Dickinson
