When I started South City Ciderworks seven years ago I wasn’t thinking about where my life would be down the road and that I might not want to be in California for the rest of it. Almost a decade later, a little girl later, a global pandemic later, and a company merger later we have packed up our life and are moving back home to the East Coast. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and I’d like to share why I did it and what it means for our amazing cider.
And that’s a wrap! Sometimes you have to make hard choices, like between family and your business. You hope that you can juggle both but it doesn’t always work that way.
