  • Today I talk about the 3rd part of the CALM method: Lifestyle. There are so many components that go into this, but wanted to focus on stress, sleep, water, and environment.
    • Stress - are you stressed and your body needs energy from the form of foods like sweet, fatty, or salty foods?
    • Sleep - sleeping less can affect your hunger levels which could lead to eating more than you normally would
    • Water - drinking enough water lessens the crazy spikes in hunger hormones and it also helps with digestion
    • Environment - getting outside in nature can increase your ability to pay attention while also lowering your levels of stress and anxiety. Also, I talk about the effects of a cluttered environment that include household clutter, digital clutter, and mental clutter.
  • I also talk about cortisol and how it affects us in almost all of these components!
