Timothy 5:17-6:2 helps us understand how followers of Jesus are to relate to authority. In a world where we are encouraged to disparage, doubt, and even rebel against those in authority over us, the bible has a radically different take. We are called to trust God by submitting to imperfect leaders and even honoring them. This is more than begrudging submission it is supporting our leaders in every way we can without supporting sin; to seek our leaders good and to support them as they do their best to the glory of God!
