Ep 6: Breast Cancer - the signs to look out for and how to check yourself
Manage episode 435571275 series 3557395
Welcome to the Cancer Support Suffolk podcast.
In this episode we talk about breast cancer with Henie and Janet who both have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and Mr Hussein Tuffaha - Oncoplastic and Cosmetic Breast Surgeon based in Ipswich and Colchester hospitals.
Henie and Janet talk about when they were first diagnosed, and the treatments. Not all treatments are the same - and they both felt like they received an almost personnel service.
We ask - How did your partner react? . . And when do you tell your children and other family?
Mr Tuffaha says sharing breast cancer procedures with patients is key, taking the journey as both patient and surgeon together. Treatments are also improving all the time - with many more options for patients.
Thank you to our brilliant guests for sharing their advice and knowledge
