Manage episode 412808466 series 3568864
In this episode Sarah is joined by her guest, Hannah Ashton. Hannah is a former occupational therapist and now a creative thinking coach. She shares her journey from working in the NHS as an occupational therapist to pursuing her passion for supporting business owners with creative thinking as a coach.
Sarah and Hannah discuss the importance of creativity in everyday life and its impact on our minds. They highlight the misconception that creativity is limited to traditional artistic activities and emphasize the broader scope of creativity, including problem-solving, generating ideas, and thinking outside the box.
Hannah explains the significance of maintaining a curious and imaginative mindset and she encourages adults to reconnect with their creativity and embrace new perspectives by stepping out of their comfort zones and trying different activities. Sarah and Hannah discuss the benefits of taking breaks, being present in the moment, and engaging in activities that allow the mind to wander and spark new ideas.
About Hannah:
Hannah is a passionate individual with two driving forces in her life: helping others and nurturing creativity. This led her to working as an Occupational Therapist for 18 years in the NHS where she gained a deep understanding of the daily challenges faced by individuals in her care.
In 2019, she embarked on a new chapter of her life, following her creative passion and became a woodworker. Founding her business, HKA Create, crafting wooden functional art.
Then at the start of this year Hannah reunited her two passions by becoming a Creative Thinking Coach. Using creativity to help business owners achieve their full potential and propel their businesses forward to new heights. She encourages thinking beyond conventional boundaries and for people to explore new perspectives both inside and outside the box as well as creating with the box itself.
Hannah's mission is for every day to be a creative day.
