An annual tradition is bringing viewers to the parks again this year. The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will air on ABC on Christmas Morning, and just an hour later on Disney+ and YouTube. Performances by Elton John, John Legend, Anika Noni Rose, and more will be featured. Magic Keyholders have some perks coming up in 2025. From January 7th through January 13th, a souvenir pin giveaway, and Disney character PhotoPass event will be at Disneyland. These items will be available at the Starcade in Tomorrowland. Starting January 8th, a Magic Key Stitch popcorn bucket will be available that comes with $2 refills through February 19th. A Disney PhotoPass magic shot will also be offered to Magic Keyholders starting on January 8th from dusk to park close. 50% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass is available from January 6th though January 31st. There are also some deals on stays at Disneyland Resort hotels. A new set of entrance gates have been unveiled at Disneyland. This is a project that has been progressing through versions for the last year at Disney California Adventure. It appears the resort has landed on a system that will work for them. The new gates allow guests to scan their own tickets and take a photo if one is not on file, allowing entrance with a valid park ticket and reservation. The new system should cut down on the amount of cast needed at the entrance to the parks and could result in faster entry for experienced guests. – Disneyland Update – Tiger Unleashed, Gate Update & Legal Fallout

A missing element has returned to the Jungle Cruise. The temple that the Bengal Tiger was housed in has been restored. The previous show scene was removed after the elements and time had taken it’s toll. Another update at Disneyland has happened at Pixie Hollow. The lagoon area has been under construction for months, with no clear explanation on what was being done. Now that the walls have come down, we know that a new fountain and water features were being installed. Little themed elements have returned to the area, and the painted blue lagoon looks refreshing and clean. Cast members who were working at the resort when Measure L was passed will be getting some back pay. Measure L is the Anaheim minimum wage law.
