When you're starting over it's easy to think that it's all about you. That you are the one on this journey and that you have to pull yourself up with your bootstraps. The reality is nothing of the sort. You've built a network of friends, co-workers, family members and business associates over the years. It's time to put them to work.
The journey may be starting over for you, but it doesn't mean that you lose all the experience points from your past. I found that reaching out there are dozens of people who are willing to lend a hand with introductions and contacts. So, not to date myself too much, but pull out the rolodex and start calling in a few favors, renew your social contacts on FB, IG, LinkedIN or at your local Royal Order of the Water Buffalo.
