Hey there Surfers and Beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Let's dive into today's surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard.
For the Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we're seeing a high rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet. No thunderstorms are expected, but make sure to check out the water temperatures between 60 to 68 degrees. Looks like a mix of south and west swells coming your way.
Ventura County Beaches also have a high rip current risk with similar surf heights of 3 to 5 feet. Water temperatures here will be around 64 to 66 degrees with a mix of west and south swells to ride on.
Heading over to Santa Barbara County, the Southwestern and Southeastern Coast is showing a low rip current risk with smaller surf heights ranging from 1 to 3 feet. Expect some nice west swells here. Water temperatures will be between 63 to 65 degrees.
For the San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, get ready for some bigger waves today at 5 to 8 feet. Tomorrow, the Northwest Facing Beaches will see 9 to 12 feet while the Southwest Facing Beaches will have 5 to 8 feet waves. A mix of west and south swells will keep things interesting.
Remember, always be cautious of rip currents. High risk means they're likely, moderate risk means possible, and low risk means they're unlikely but could still occur.
So grab your boards, sunscreen, and get out there to enjoy the waves! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
