Prepare yourself for some of the best behind-the-scenes chat, a peak into the lives of this talented team and plenty of grown-up laughter! It's the full cast, choreographer and director of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Kate Golledge (Director) and Darragh O’Leary (Choreographer) start this episode by sharing some of their stories and insights into this year’s Rock ‘n’ Roll pantomime. They reveal some of their techniques, what to expect from the show, and how they work together. Find out the secret of their partnership and their favourite cracker jokes!
Steve Simmonds (Actor/Musician), who plays Dame Dolly Durden, and Daniel Carter-Hope (Actor/Musician), who plays Squire Snuffbox, talk about their hilarious antics in rehearsals, their roles on stage, music, laughter and they deliver their favourite cracker jokes in style.
Natasha Magigi (Actor/Musician) plays Fairy Aubergine and Gemima, the Giant’s Wife, and Joe Butcher (Actor/Musician) plays the very scary and extremely tall Giant Blunderbore. Natasha and Joe tell us about their ‘giant’ roles and Natasha tells us a little bit about the magic of filming while Joe describes what it’s actually like being inside a 12ft puppet! Cracker jokes included!
Nic Bryan (Actor/Musician), who plays Fleshcreep, and James Haggie (Actor/Musician), who plays Billy, talk about rehearsals and what it means to be back on the stage again at the New Wolsey Theatre. James talks about his reputation for being a bit of prankster and Nic tells us about the mischievous role of playing the Giant’s assistant. Just wait for their cracker jokes!
Daniella Piper (Actor/Musician) plays Jill and Neil Urquhart (Actor/Musician) plays Jack. Dani talks about her ‘Jill,’ and her role as being much more of an integral part of the show rather than the traditional pantomime princess. Neil talks about Jack’s many talents and they both reveal how they manage to keep up their strength and enthusiasm show after show.
