The Wall EP.13: Shauna Doyle Talks School Struggles and The Value of Being Authentic with Your Audience
Manage episode 316417087 series 3199503
It’s finally here, Season 2 of The Wall Podcast! Thank you for all who have listened through Season 1. I’m excited to say that I am just getting started!
To kick off the new season, and the very first episode of 2020, I have an interview with Irish influencer, Shauna Doyle.
Shauna is a fast-growing blogger from Cork and is best known for her chats on Instagram stories and her blusher. Yep, Shauna’s rule is that you can never have too much blush on your cheeks!
Shauna started out in retail, moving up the ranks fast in some of the bigger outlets until she landed a job as a makeup artist in MAC makeup. School was never for her so Shauna thought she was destined for a career in makeup and retail. Until her follower numbers started to grow rapidly.
Despite her current following being at a ‘micro-level’ by industry standards, Shauna has been able to sustain a living out of full-time blogging from her hometown of Cork while studying a master's in PR too.
Shauna, who by the way is only twenty-two years old, sat down with me in NYC to chat about her journey so far. She was traveling to promote the latest fashion app called Alana, so you could say things are escalating pretty fast for her.
Shauna is a great example of how, if you’re brave enough to ask and you’re willing to put in the work, that sometimes the answer is simply 'yes'.
You can join Shauna on Instagram (@shaunadoyle.x) and YouTube, and don't forget to check out the new Alana app (@alana.app) too!
Thanks for joining me for season two and, as always, I look forward to the next one!
