Ruth Miller had a chaotic family upbringing, she was abused emotionally, and sexually, two close friends were murdered by her boyfriend, and despite this she did well at school and got a place at university.
It wasn't until she met her now husband that she began to learn what safety in a relationship could feel like. And through the marriage she created with him, she was finally able to start working with the PTSD she had and begin to build the life she wanted.
Giving birth to her daughter was one of the most challenging and empowering moments. A defining moment. And now at 32 years old, what will life bring next.
I share friends with Ruth, and we both attended the Burning Woman 2021 Festival, where she really started to connect Mind, Body and Soul as part of her journey.
