Welcome to another episode of Dear Krachel, our monthly advice segment where we answer listener questions about life, career, relationships, existential angst, and anything that helps you become a more whole, fulfilled version of yourself.

This month we answered questions from:

  • Carley, who’s tried several jobs that promise the Thriver lifestyle, but don’t fulfill her or allow her to work on her terms. How can she tell if she’s turning into a trailblazer who could manage self-employment, or if she’s just surpassed her tolerance to work for “self-absorbed nincompoomps?!”

  • Courntey, who recently took a huge risk by leaving her (very well paid) job for a new opportunity, but now she’s 3 months in and has huge regrets. She absolutely cannot go back, so how can she stay focused on her new path despite the fact that she can’t stop thinking about her old job?

  • Eva, whose major ambition is to have a job where she can finish what’s expected of her in a couple hours, then have plenty of time left for a life of leisure. Except she keeps self-sabotaging her dreams of ease by poking into new issues, volunteering herself for other people’s projects, and generally staying busy when that’s the last thing she actually wants! Why does she keep doing this to herself and how can she put a stop to it?

Come leave a comment after you’ve listened to share how our advice for these listeners resonated with you!
